The Details
Join us for the fourth Green Skills session being held at Stretford Meadows as part of our Seeds of Change programme, where you will learn a range of green skills, from seed, to tree, to woodland. You do not need to have attended the previous session to come along.
This session will involve learning all about woodland creation and community forestry. We will be learning how to design a new woodland, doing a mock site visit, and running through the process behind woodland creation in the context of community forestry, including how to plan and execute a woodland creation event for volunteers.
This session is for young people aged 16-25, looking to learn new skills, gain experience in the environment sector or just to try something new! If you have any questions or would like any more information, contact Nina at [email protected].

- 10am – 3pm at Stretford Meadows, Stretford, Manchester M41 9WG.

- The nearest Metrolink stop is Stretford, which is a 20 minute walk from the meeting point.
- Bus 263 operates between Oxford Road Station and Poplar Road bus stop, which is a 10 minute walk from the meeting point, and bus 15 operates between Oxford Road Station and Sandy Lane bus stop which is a 5 minute walk from the meeting point.
About the site
Stretford Meadows is a public site with woods and meadows. The area where we will be working sometimes has uneven ground, thick vegetation, and informal paths through the woodland. A portaloo will be available on site for participant use.
