SEE MY WORLD FILM FESTIVAL 2026
On 21 November, See My World brings its first Film Festival to CONTACT, Manchester, for a day of Pan-African and Global Majority film, culture, conversation and community.
Expect films from across the North of England, including a selection of archival films and an exclusive premiere of new See My World documentaries. Throughout the day, you’ll also have the opportunity to:
- Get closer to the stories with Q&As, Workshops and Panels offering the chance to hear directly from the minds behind the films and discover what inspired them.
- Explore Manchester through its Archives, uncovering the people, places, events and stories that have helped shape the city and the communities within it.
- Meet award winning and established Film Makers who will provide critical insights into the Film Industry.
- Network with other Film Makers and creatives across the UK.
- Experience immersive performances and Exhibitions incorporating Music, Poetry and more.
The festival creates a space for stories that are often overlooked to be seen, shared and flaunted, while bringing audiences together to think about the histories we carry, the realities we’re living in now and the futures we’re still imagining.
Taking Sasa Na Zamani (Now and Then) as its starting point, the festival explores an African understanding of time where the past isn’t simply behind us. It continues to shape how we understand the present and how we imagine what comes next. Through film and the wider programme, we’ll explore how liberation is expressed, embodied and renegotiated within communities.

Come to connect with people, have conversations, learn something new and see yourself, your history and your future reflected in the room.
