SAVAKSomething of an indie rock supergroup, the prolific SAVAK feature past and present members of the Obits, Edsel, the Cops, and Holy Fuck. Their sound is brawny indie rock that leans heavily on guitars, in particular on 2017’s Cut-Ups, with horns and keyboards used to give the performances detail and texture on 2020’s Rotting Teeth in the Horse’s Mouth. SAVAK are also capable of giving their music a melodic undertow while still sounding wiry on the surface, a balance that dominated 2022’s Human Error/Human Delight. 2024’s Flavors of Paradise saw them embracing a poppier approach that didn’t compromise their intelligence or their willingness to rock.

Heather, Luke, Rich, and Thomas play horrible tunes
Resurrection Men are a new heavy band from Bristol, UK, with members of SANS, Modern Rituals, Rothmans, and Talons.
Their self-titled debut channels speaker bulging guitars and jagged, sardonic vocals, tying together influences ranging from The Men and Titus Andronicus to Sparklehorse and Women.
The album came together in a brief frenzy of writing sessions over a couple of months before tracking it live in a single day at Bristol’s Humm studios.
