Saturator is eight hours of nonstop club style sets from four underground NYC DJs each spinning for two hours. In an homage to uniquely New Yorkian rave culture, DJs duckie casanova, Mars Dietz a.k.a. Sapphic F████, ashtroboi, and Michael Thomas will bring you on a deep dive through a bricolage of bass-forward genres.
Come through from day to night, for a slot, or attend remotely. Reentry is permitted.
If you’ve been waiting for the legacy of dancefloor-focused, music-obsessed, boldly creative club music to manifest with a futurism that doesn’t regress to 2019, this is for you.
Saturator also celebrates the launch of Positive Deviance’s Kickstarter campaign to make possible the next chapter of their mask-positive, clean-air cultural programming in NYC .

What to Expect
- Saturator takes place in a wheelchair-accessible black box theatre space stripped back to bare warehouse walls on the industrial south Brooklyn waterfront.
- BOYB; Refreshments will be available for purchase.
- Reentry permitted
- Pay-What-You-Want Ticket Pricing until October 1st
- Limited capacity at the venue frees up space for movement and keeps the crowd committed.
- An inclusive hybrid format enables audio only remote attendance.
- No pandemic denialism either - masks are required at all times inside the venue, with SIP valves available for drinking. HEPA purifiers will be running. A ceiling-to-floor roll up gate will be open to maximize ventilation
- Phone lenses will be stickered at the door with a no phones on the dancefloor policy.
- This event eschews spectacle in favor of sweat.

Meet the DJs
Mars Dietz a.k.a. Sapphic F████ * is a DJ, sound artist, and fourth-generation Brooklynite with a long career history in Berlin. Mars’ sound is defined by propulsive, sensual and syncopated beats integrated in referential complexity with a playing style that is always fully improvised. Mars’ open format high-energy sets feature long blends of house, R&B, kuduro, hard drum, mahraganat, deconstructed club, industrial, baile funk, and the unexpected. Former resident and core crew of Berlin’s legendary monthly club night BODYSNATCH (2011-2023), Mars is creator & host of Edge Case, an experimental club focused radio show on Maker Park Radio every other Friday at noon.

ashtro's sound consists of relevant amplitudes that are characteristic of his poetic and musical identity - as a DJ he aspires to create channels for these amplitudes to pass directly from his soul to space with seldom variation in pitch. Within spaces to come, expect deep and slutty house, dreamy and glitchy R&B, afro-Caribbean riddim, and other various blacktronik sounds that have shaped and will shape the afrofuture. He is a regular guest on Edge Case at Maker Park Radio, where his poetic and rhythmic articulations have been both broadcast and archived for replay.
Duckie Casanova is a Bronx-bred filmmaker, poet, and open format DJ with roots in Chicago. He was raised on classic hiphop and disco with deep ties to film/tv and pop culture. Duckie uses poetry as spells to set sonic scenes, breathes life into new worlds as he takes the crowd on a journey through time and space. Whether it’s cosmic disco and jazz, leftfield new wave punk, or deep, sultry house and seductive vogue beats, Duckie Casanova uses sound to promote the all encompassing nature of black music across the diaspora. Sampling is ancestral veneration and dance music is a channel for body-mind healing. Let the liberating sounds of Duckie Casanova be the elixir for your soul.
Michael Thomas is a curator, DJ, and co-founder of Positive Deviance NYC. Born in Saint Vincent and raised in Brooklyn, he blends sounds of the Caribbean diaspora with hip hop, soul, and house, building rhythm-forward sets rooted in the Global South.
