Each fall, Chinook salmon make their annual journey through Owen Sound’s rivers and streams, creating an amazing opportunity to see the salmon migration up close. The Salmon Tour is a self-guided experience that helps you follow their journey and discover some of the best places to watch for salmon throughout the city.
From the harbour and Sydenham River to the Mill Dam, Harrison Park and beyond, grab the tour map and explore at your own pace. Walk, bike or drive the route, stop along the way, and keep your eyes on the water — you never know where you’ll spot them!
Come explore, ask questions and experience the salmon run for yourself!
Salmon activity changes daily and is influenced by weather, water levels and conditions, so every visit can be a little different.
