Create a one-of-a-kind mixed media artwork celebrating your pets! Before the workshop, email us favourite photographs of the pet—or pets—you’d like to feature. Your images will be prepared ahead of time so you can incorporate them together into one finished artwork.
Build layers around your pets using collage, acrylic paint, stamps, ink, charcoal, ArtGraf, paint markers, and other wet and dry media. Make your piece even more personal by incorporating photocopies of vet records or medical imaging, pictures of favourite toys, tags, blankets, or other things connected to your pets. You can also bring a few flat items or photographs with you and we can photocopy them at Upwards to use in your artwork.
Whether you have one pet or a whole crew, you’ll create a single mixed media piece that brings their images and stories together. No mixed media experience is necessary and all art materials are provided.
Photo Requirements
Please email one photo of each individual pet you would like included in your artwork before the workshop. Each photo should clearly show your pet’s entire head, with no part of their head or ears extending beyond the edges of the photo. A full-body photo is ideal when possible, but not required—we can work with a partial-body image as long as the full head is visible. Please email photos by Wednesday September 30, 2026.
Date: Saturday October 3, 2026 from 1:00 – 5:00pm
