The San Antonio District Dental Society (SADDS) invites dental students, residents, and practicing dentists to Great Expectations: Career Connections & Networking, a program designed to help future dentists prepare for the transition from dental school to professional practice.
Attendees will hear practical advice from experienced dentists, gain insights into career opportunities and employment contracts, and connect with local dentists and industry professionals.

10:00–11:00 a.m. | Great Expectations: Real Talk with Dentists
A candid panel discussion about career paths, practice opportunities, and life after dental school.
11:00–11:40 a.m. | Employment Contracts & Negotiation
Dr. Robert Lemke shares practical guidance on understanding employment agreements and negotiating your first position.
11:40 a.m.–12:15 p.m. | Lunch & Informal Networking
12:15–1:15 p.m. | Career Connections
Meet practicing dentists and industry professionals, explore employment opportunities, and make connections for your future.
1:15 p.m. | Student Door Prize Drawing & Closing
Who Should Attend

- Practicing Dentists & Practice Owners: Connect with future dentists, share your experience, and discuss employment opportunities.
Registration
Dental Students & Residents: $15 per person
Includes educational programming, lunch, and networking opportunities.
Hiring Tables:
- SADDS Member Dentists: $100
- Non-Member Dentists: $150
Hiring-table registration includes one table, admission for two representatives, two lunches, and access to the educational program.
Additional lunches are available for $25 per person.
Advance registration is encouraged.
