As Autumn fades into Winter, the Wheel of the Year turns once again.The Winter Solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year — a powerful turning point in the seasonal cycle. From this moment onwards, the light slowly begins to return, little by little.
For centuries, the Winter Solstice has been a time to honour the darkness, gather close, rest deeply and welcome the returning light.
It is a time for stillness and reflection.
A moment to pause at the threshold between what has been and what is yet to come. To acknowledge the year behind you, release what you no longer need to carry, and create space for whatever wants to emerge in the year ahead.
Join us online for a 30-minute mindful meditation honouring the Winter Solstice, the turning of the Wheel of the Year and the quiet return of the light, with Studio Owner and Senior Yoga Teacher, Karine.
Find yourself somewhere cosy and comfortable — wrap yourself in a blanket, dim the lights and, if you wish, light a candle safely to honour the returning light.
Together, we’ll slow down, connect with the rhythm of our breath and body, and embrace the slower, quieter energy of Winter.
A gentle meditation for stillness, reflection, gratitude, release and renewal — honouring the darkness, celebrating the returning light, and remembering that even in the deepest Winter, the light is never truly gone.
Come as you are. Get cosy. Breathe. Be still.
No previous meditation experience needed.
Just bring yourself, find somewhere comfortable to settle, and perhaps a blanket and cushions or pillows for warmth, comfort and support.
