Saau

'Saau' is an interpretation of the Marathi children's book 'Andharacha Gaanv' by Swati Raje and is based on events from Savitribai Phule's life. Saau is the story of a little girl who strives to bring back lost light and hope to her village, which is troubled by a generational curse of darkness. It is a story of lost hope, bravery, and challenging norms, narrated through various sources of light, an overhead projector, self-lit puppets, Bunraku-style puppets, and a non-verbal approach.
