A Lub Story is a witty and heartwarming satirical comedy that explores love, class, and the contradictions of modern Indian society. Adapted from Padmashri Uday Prakash`s acclaimed short story Ram Sajeevan Ki Prem Katha, the play follows Ram Sajeevan, an idealistic young man from rural India whose journey to Delhi for higher studies introduces him to a world of privilege, politics, and profound inequality.
When he falls hopelessly in love with Anita Chandiwala, a wealthy and sophisticated classmate, his romantic pursuit becomes both hilarious and deeply moving. As love collides with ideology and dreams confront reality, the play unfolds through sharp humor, vibrant storytelling, and memorable characters.
Directed by Dev Chakraborty, A Lub Story is an engaging theatrical experience that seamlessly blends comedy, romance, and social satire. Beneath its laughter lies a poignant reflection on aspiration, identity, and the invisible boundaries that continue to shape contemporary India.
