About this Event
Rooted in Faith, Ready to Bloom: A Puberty Workshop for Muslim Girls
Growing up brings a lot of changes, and a lot of questions. This workshop gives girls aged 11 to 15 a safe, friendly space to learn about puberty and periods, understand what Islam teaches about this stage of life, and ask the things they might feel too shy to ask at home.
The day is run by a qualified female instructor, and everything is taught in an age appropriate, caring way.
What we’ll explore
What’s actually happening to my body?
We’ll explain puberty and the menstrual cycle in simple terms, cover the changes to expect, and take a proper look at period products so girls feel prepared.
What do haydh and istihaadha mean for my salah?
We’ll go through becoming baaligh, the rulings of haydh and istihaadha, how to keep track of your cycle, and how to do ghusl correctly.
How do I grow into a confident Muslimah?
We’ll talk about haya, body image, friendships, social media, and knowing who you can turn to when you need help.
