BLACK MOM SOCIETY — COMMUNITY CIRCLE SERIES
Session 1: Root & Rise — Finding Your Village
Friday, June 19, 2026 · 5PM–6:00 PM EST· Juneteenth
What if you walked into a room and felt — finally — like you were home?
That's what we're building at Black Mom Society. And we're launching on Juneteenth — because there is no better day to come home.
Root & Rise is the first of five free Friday evening community circles hosted by Dr. Makeda J. Greene, Ph.D — school psychologist, parent coach, Brooklyn native, and founder of Black Mom Society. Each session is intimate (limited to 70 seats), culturally grounded, and designed specifically for mothers who are ready to exhale.
What to expect on June 19:
• An evening designed with care. A space where you can arrive as you are- and not have to explain yourself.
• Moments of reflection, moments of connection, moments that remind you that you're not carrying this alone.
• Intentional conversation. A room that feels like it was made for you.
This is not a conference. It's not a panel. It's not a networking event. It's a return- to yourself, and to community.
