About this Event
This parent-and-child class features two different crafts each week, with a break in-between to hear Tr. Erica read a story. These crafts are based on principles that will help your little one more easily understand S.T.E.A.M. principles as they grow older.
Each class starts with 5-10 minutes of coloring, while little ones warm up to new faces. Then we'll work on our first craft, and learn which S.T.E.A.M. principles it supports. As children wrap up their first project, a story will be read aloud to the group- children are welcome to color or look at the story's illustrations. Then we'll learn about our second craft, and children who finish early are welcome to stick around and color until our 40-minute class is over.
Please Note:A responsible adult (18+) must stay with the child through the duration of this class. These crafts might get messy, so please dress your child appropriately. When planned lessons include paint, short-sleeved smocks will be provided. Please keep in mind that there are no bathrooms at Fitler Square Park.
