We are excited to announce our latest edition of Rising JRock hosted this winter on Friday Dec 11th of 2026 at the Black Swan Tavern!Rising JRock is a Japanese Rock themed music event in Toronto. Organized by Japanese Prog-Rock band Rising Ronin, this event features Japanese music from anime music to original Japanese music from Japanese artists all the way to Japanese inspired Rock music from the GTA. With the increasing popularity of anime in the West, Rising Ronin started this event to bring more visibility to Japanese music and Japanese artists in Toronto. You can expect popular Japanese anime tunes, rock and metal originals, as well as other classic JRock music that may not have big name anime tied to it! Come join us for an unforgettable night of Japanese music!Our winter edition will be highlighting a lot of your favourite anime songs, so we are encouraging you to dress up in your favourite cosplay. Please be considerate of the other guests regarding size and space restrictions. We reserve the right to refuse entry if your cosplay is too large for the comfort of the venue or the other guests. Please, no weapons! Since it is our 1-year anniversary of Rising JRock, there may be a prize for the best cosplay, voted by the bands!
