About this Event
Landon and Friends Musical Theatre Society is proud to present a local legend... Ride The Cyclone at the Waterfront Theatre, Granville Island!
In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamberchoir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other – the chance to return to life.
Ride the Cyclone is the hit off-beat, off-Broadway musical, originally created in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell and originally produced by the incredible team at Atomic Vaudeville.
This 1 act musical runs approximately 1hr and 15minutes with no intermission. We'd advise you to take advantage of the snacks and drinks at the bar before getting comfy in your seats!
Recommended PG13. This show include profanity, sexually suggestive dance, and death.
Evenings | 6:00pm lounge, snacks and beverages, 6:45pm theatre doors, 7:00pm show.
Matinees | 1:30pm lounge, snacks and beverages, 2:15pm theatre doors, 2:30pm show.
Our lounge will have a selection of beer, wine, and a themed cocktail for those with valid ID who are ages 19+. We are proudly serving all Canadian produced beverages.
Our tickets offer 4 seating zones:
Rows A-C range from below the stage to just above the stage height, so you will be looking slightly up for the duration of the show. Row A is our wheelchair accessible row with no stairs needed to get to the seats. Message us directly at [email protected] or on instagram @lafmusicaltheatre if you'd like more information or have any inquiries.
Rows D-G offer a dead on look at the stage. These are the best seats in the house.
Rows H-K are slightly above the height of the stage and are a little farther away than the previous rows. You will be looking slightly down at the stage for the duration of the show.
Rows L-N are affectionately the "nose bleed" seats of the Waterfront Theatre. They are far away and you are looking significantly down at the action. The audio booth will be centered within these rows, but will no obstruct any views. We aim to keep a range of ticket prices so that those who would normally be unable to see live productions can. LaF makes $19.30 from these tickets, which is $1.05 above minimum wage here in BC. We encourage you to save these seats for those who need them priced as such.
