Retrofit Society 2.0 - Quarterly Session 17 June 2027

Date: Tuesday 15 June 2027
Time: Registration from 10:00 | Start at 10:30 | Close at 15:00
Location: Clarion Housing Group, 5th floor, 180 Hampstead Road, London, NW1 7QX

Places: Strictly limited to 40 participants

One room. One shared mission. Accessing large-scale private finance is now the critical enabler for retrofit at scale. Grants have helped start the journey – but if we want to go further, faster, and cheaper, we need more sustainable approaches.

Join us for our June Retrofit Society 2.0 quarterly meeting with a focus on heat transition and energy strategies.

With a renewed focused on finance, this forum is designed to break siloes and make your ambitious projects happen. We’ll explore practical, scalable finance models, demystify risks, and share real-world solutions that unlock retrofit ambitions and deliver healthier, more sustainable homes.

Expect thought-provoking discussion, expert insights, and peer learning, all wrapped into a dynamic, one-day in-person session.

What you will learn:

As housing providers move from pilot projects to large-scale delivery, the focus is shifting from individual technologies to long-term energy strategies. This session will explore how organisations are developing approaches that balance technical performance, financial sustainability and the differing needs of their housing stock.

Why attend?

  • Learn what’s really working on the ground – and what to avoid
  • Network with other senior leaders tackling similar retrofit challenges

Who is this aimed at?

This event is for social housing providers only, specifically those running retrofit programmes of 500 homes and more, including:

  • Strategic Asset Directors
  • Sustainability Leads
  • Retrofit & Energy Leads
  • Finance & Treasury teams

Final agenda TBC. Sessions may include:

Heat pumps - different approaches: Comparing delivery models and procurement strategies, including different approaches to manufacturer selection, in-house capability and long-term asset management, with case studies from housing providers.

Case study - G320: Exploring the use of air-to-air heat pumps in smaller and harder-to-treat homes, and what this approach could mean for historic properties, flats and future retrofit programmes.

Fabric first or fabric fifth? An interactive discussion on how organisations determine the right retrofit pathway for different property archetypes, balancing fabric improvements, renewable technologies and electrification to develop long-term, financially sustainable energy strategies.

Attendance is FREE as part of Healthy Homes Hub membership.

Places are limited to 40
