About this Event
For Miami Art Week 2022, digital artist Andrés Reisinger presents a floating installation “Pink Meditation Buoys,” in the ocean in front of Faena Hotel.
They have asked Modern ŌM to invite curious and fun-loving meditators to meditate ON the art piece... which is floating in the ocean, for 5 experiences:
- Wednesday, November 30, 11:11am
- Thursday, December 1, 11:11am
- Friday, December 2, 11:11am
- Saturday, December 3, 11:11am
- Sunday, , December 4, 11:11am
Meet us from Wednesday through Saturday at 11am on the beach in front of the installation for your meditation instructions. You will then be invited to walk out to the buoys to sit in contemplation and enjoy a blissful experience riding the gentle Atlantic Ocean.
This project is part of curator Ximena Caminos’ ReefLine public cultural initiative.
? The Art Piece: “Pink Meditation Buoys” is a site specific installation consisting of iridescent pink beacons, always visible from the shore. It was conceived to give swimmers a vantage point for reef and local marine life exploration and, during the Miami Art Week, it will anchor and channel the energy of collective guided meditations focusing on the wellbeing of the endangered ecosystem that surrounds the project.
“We often fail to remember how to stop, observe and reflect; rekindle with our thoughts and the ones of the world; address and give order to our chaos; train our minds and tune them with others; create a space to welcome energy and channel it towards a desired outcome. This is where ‘Pink Meditation Buoys’ comes from; a physical invitation to conjoin and build strength to help the ecosystem, and in turn, ourselves” states Reisinger.
