About this Event
From 20–22 November 2026, Colèchi will present Re-iterate, a three-day exhibition and cultural programme exploring knitwear, yarn waste and what we do with what's left. Hosted at The Market Building in Clerkenwell, London, the exhibition brings together artists and creatives to explore the potential of discarded materials, traditional craft and new approaches to fashion.
Featuring work by Erica Collins, Kemi Ajose and Sehar Mehra, the exhibition will transform the venue into a series of curated spaces showcasing knitted installations, interactive displays and moving image. Through their individual practices, the artists will explore themes of waste, material transformation and the creative possibilities of reusing what already exists.
The event will launch with an industry preview and private view on Friday 20 November, followed by an evening of drinks, music and conversation. Across Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, the exhibition will open to the public with a programme of screenings, hands-on workshops and discussions, inviting audiences to engage with the future of knitwear and the role of waste in contemporary fashion.
Works on Show
Athbhreith – Rebirth. By Erica Collins
Athbhreith, meaning Rebirth, is an exhibtion of knitted sculptures from deadstock waste, which will be unravelled over the course of the exhibition. Inviting spectators to interact with the piece by pulling the yarn to contribute to the unravelling - demonstrating the full life cycle of the project. This act of unmaking and remaking reflects the concept of rebirth, allowing the materials and knowledge created through the residency to move into their next stage of life and be used again.
Current Threads: Reimagining Waste Through Textile Art. By Kemi Ajose
What happens when we look beyond what something was made for?
Created by textile artist Kemi Ajose, Current Threads explores the possibilities of repurposing materials through handmade sculptural textile installations, and machine-knitted samples.
Through knitting, and material experimentation, Kemi reimagines existing materials in new and unexpected ways, questioning how we define waste and how creative practice can reveal new purpose and value.
Discover what can happen when we see materials not just for what they are, but for what they could become.
Purza by Sehar Mehra
Purza is a social drama about a generational, skilled knitwear-factory worker who wants to do right by his craft, until a promotion forces him to see what it actually does to the lives around him.
The story revolves around Bhagwant, a generational stitching line worker at a knitwear factory in Ludhiana. When that comes bearing fruit as a promotion, the factory he’s always worked at and loved, comes to light as something different.
