Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) – FREC 3, delivered by PLAB Guide Training Centre in Manchester.
If your role could put you first on scene at a collapse, a crash or a serious injury, workplace first aid only takes you so far. FREC 3 gives you a structured, clinical approach to the seriously ill or injured patient, from making the scene safe to handing over to the ambulance crew or clinical team.
What you'll cover over 5 intensive days:
- Scene safety and dynamic risk assessment
- - Primary and secondary survey of medical and trauma patients
- - Airway management, ventilation and emergency oxygen
- - Resuscitation and AED use across all ages
- - Medical emergencies and major trauma, including catastrophic bleeding
- - Clinical handover to ambulance and clinical teams
Format: 5 days, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with theory and practical assessments.
Qualification: Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF), valid for 3 years.
