V rámci večera pokřtíme s autorkami a kurátorkou Katarínou Hládekovou drobný katalog k výstavě, proběhne komentovaná prohlídka výstavou a přednáška a diskuse s psycholožkou a terapeutkou Veronikou Peškovou.

Sebedůvěra, talent a odvaha dát svému daru prostor.

Pragovka Gallery invites you to a public program accompanying the exhibition Zachytit nit by Stanislava Karbušická and Aleksandrina Yordanova on Thursday, 29 October, from 6 pm. The evening will include the launch of a small exhibition catalogue with the artists and curator Katarína Hládeková, a guided tour of the exhibition, and a lecture and discussion with psychologist and therapist Veronika Pešková.
Can art be a tool for finding inner strength? Where does the pressure to perform end and conscious self-confidence begin? Psychologist and therapist Veronika Pešková will address these questions as part of the public program accompanying the exhibition Zachytit nit.
During the preparation of the exhibition, self-confidence emerged as a key link between the works of Stanislava Karbušická and Aleksandrina Yordanova. Both see it as the strength needed for life transitions, for coping with uncertainty, and for defining one’s own territory at a time that pushes us towards competitiveness, control, and comparison. While art captures these emotions through abstract symbols and quiet figures searching for their place in the landscape, Veronika Pešková will give them a clear, everyday language.
The lecture will explore the mechanisms of self-confidence and show how to cultivate it independently of external recognition. This interactive evening will offer not only food for thought but also concrete inspiration for maintaining inner integrity in an accelerated world. The program is intended not only for artists facing the demands of the attention economy, but for anyone seeking a path to inner stability.

Self-confidence, talent, and the courage to give your gift space
Each of us has something that is our own: an ability or talent, a sensitivity, a way of creating, or a gift through which we can bring something unique and exceptional into the world. Our soul’s unique imprint. Talent alone, however, doesn’t mean we allow ourselves to truly live it. It is often in the things that are most genuinely ours that doubt arises, along with fear of judgement, comparison, the need for recognition, or the question of whether we are good enough at all.
In her lecture, psychologist and therapist Veronika Pešková will focus on self-confidence as the ability to rely on ourselves even when we don’t know how others will receive us and our work.
She will explore why we sometimes hide our talent, why it can be hard to stand behind what is truly ours, and what happens when creative work stops being a natural form of expression and becomes a means of proving our own worth.
Where does a healthy desire to achieve something end and pressure to perform begin?
How can we tell our own gift apart from what we learned to be good at because others expected it of us? And can we give our talent space even when it brings no immediate recognition?
The lecture will connect the themes of self-confidence, talent, inner worth, and the courage to be seen.
It’s not only about discovering what we’re good at. Sometimes it is much harder to allow ourselves to believe in it, to give it time and a place in our lives, and to let it grow into something that is truly our own.
