🧙♀️✨ WITCHES & WIZARDS WEEKEND AT APPLEGATE FARMS ✨🧙♂️📅 October 24–25, 2026
📍 Applegate Farms MO • Louisiana, Missouri
The pumpkins are ready.
The cauldrons are bubbling.
The magical creatures are restless.
And for one enchanted October weekend, Applegate Farms is going magical. ✨
Grab your cloak, dust off your broom and find your pointiest hat because Witches & Wizards Weekend is coming to the Applegate Pumpkin Patch!
This weekend is all about imagination, potions, spells, magical creatures and good old-fashioned farm mischief.
Witches, wizards, fairies, pixies and magical creatures of ALL ages are welcome. Costumes are encouraged, but never required!
🏰 WELCOME TO APPLEGATE ACADEMY OF FARMYARD MAGIC
Young witches and wizards can spend the day completing magical lessons and challenges around the farm.
🪄 Wandcraft — Create and decorate your own wand.
🧪 Potion Class — Mix, pour, fizz and bubble your way through an Applegate potion-making experience.
✨ Spell Stations — Put your wand to work practicing some harmless farmyard magic.
🌿 Herbology — Explore plants, herbs and curious things from the garden.
🧹 The Great Applegate Broom Race — Grab a broom and race through our obstacle course. Flying is optional. Running very strangely with a broom between your legs is expected. 😂
🔮 Wizard Challenges — Complete your magical training and prove you’ve got what it takes to become an official Applegate witch or wizard!
🔍 THE MAGICAL SCAVENGER HUNT
Something has gone terribly wrong at the Academy.
Several magical objects have disappeared around the farm!
Search Applegate for the missing objects, solve the clues and see if you can complete the challenge.
🧚♀️ THE PIXIE HIKING TRAIL
The tiny village created during Once Upon an Applegate isn’t disappearing!
Take a walk down our Pixie Hiking Trail and discover the little homes tucked along the way.
If your family built a pixie or gnome house for Once Upon an Applegate, come find it again—or bring another one to help our little village continue to grow.
🐐✨ MAGICAL CREATURES
Every magical academy needs magical creatures.
Fortunately, Applegate already has a head start.
😂
Meet some of the wonderfully unusual animals that call our farm home. Some have horns. Some have feathers. Some are enormous. Some are tiny.
And a few behave in ways we’re pretty sure can only be explained by magic.
🎂✨ A LITTLE EXTRA MAGIC THIS WEEKEND…
Witches & Wizards Weekend also happens to fall on a very special weekend for our family.
It’s Croix & Electra’s birthday weekend! ❤️
Since they’re two of the Applegate kids, we decided their birthday needed something slightly more magical than candles on a cake.
So we’re inviting EVERYONE visiting the farm Saturday to help us create:
🔮🎂 THE GREAT APPLEGATE BIRTHDAY SPELL
At 4:00 PM Saturday, we’ll gather around the Applegate Wishing Cauldron.
Every child can make a wish and add it to the cauldron.
Then Croix & Electra will add the final magical ingredient.
We’ll count down together…
3…2…1…
…and see what happens. ✨
And because no birthday spell is complete without them…
🧁 There will be cupcakes!
The Birthday Spell celebration is included with admission.
Because one birthday wish might be powerful magic.
But an entire farm full of people making wishes together?
That’s Applegate magic. ❤️
🧪🥤 CROIX & ELECTRA’S BIRTHDAY POTIONS
The birthday magic is also making its way to concessions!
For this weekend ONLY:
💚 Croix’s Cauldron Punch
💜 Electra’s Enchanted Elixir
Two Applegate kids.
Two magical potions.
You’ll have to decide which one wins.
🍎🧙♀️ THE WIZARD’S FEAST
Our regular Applegate concessions will get a magical makeover, too!
Watch for special treats like:
🍺 Butterscotch Cream Soda
🧪 Potion Punch
☕ Cauldron Cocoa
🍟 Wizard Fries
🐉 Dragon Dogs & Wings
🥨 Pretzel Wands
🧁 Cauldron Cupcakes
🍿 Enchanted Popcorn
🍎 Poison Apples
🍏 Fresh Apple Cider
🎃 PLUS EVERYTHING YOU LOVE ABOUT THE APPLEGATE PUMPKIN PATCH
The magic doesn’t replace the pumpkin patch!
Spend the day picking pumpkins, visiting animals and enjoying all of our regular farm activities, including:
🌽 Corn Pit
🎯 Apple Slingshot
⛳ Putt-Putt
🧗 Obstacle Course
🛝 Epic Farm Slide
🐐 Farm Animals
📸 Fall Photo Spots
🎃 Pumpkin Picking
🍎 Applegate Baked Goods & Concessions
🎬🌙 MOVIES AFTER DARK
When the sun goes down, stay on the farm because we’ve got an appropriately magical movie lineup planned!
🎥 FRIDAY NIGHT
⚡ 6:30 PM — Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone — PG
Then, after the younger witches and wizards head home…
🌲 9:15 PM — The Blair Witch Project — R
Same general subject.
VERY different witches. 😂
🎥 SATURDAY NIGHT
✨ 7:00 PM — Practical Magic — PG-13
Bring your chairs and blankets, grab something from concessions and settle in beneath the October sky.
🎟️ Movies are separate admission from Pumpkin Patch admission.
🧙♂️✨ COME AS YOU ARE—OR COME AS SOMEONE MAGICAL
We want witches.
We want wizards.
We want fairies and pixies.
We want tiny sorcerers.
We want elaborate costumes somebody spent three months making.
And we want the dad who realizes in the parking lot that everybody else dressed up and throws on a black tablecloth and declares himself a wizard.
Everybody counts. 😂
Costumes are encouraged, never required.
🎃✨ THE END OF PUMPKIN SEASON IS GETTING CLOSE…
There are only a few October days left.
Soon the pumpkins will be gone, the cauldrons will stop bubbling and another Applegate Pumpkin Patch season will become a memory.
So come make one more.
Make a wand.
Mix a potion.
Race a broom.
Follow the Pixie Trail.
Find the missing magical objects.
Meet a few creatures.
Make a birthday wish for two Applegate kids.
Eat a cupcake.
Pick a pumpkin.
And stay for a movie beneath the stars.
Because you don’t always have to travel to some faraway castle to find a little magic.
Sometimes you just have to drive down a country road in Louisiana, Missouri. ❤️
