About this Event
Discover drypoint printmaking using an ordinary pasta machine as a small press.
In this two-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll:
- transfer a simple image or sketch onto a recycled Tetra Pak plate
- scratch the design with drypoint tools
- ink and wipe the plate
- print it through a pasta maker press
- make one plate and two original mini-prints to take home
No previous printmaking experience is needed. Reference images will be available if you prefer not to draw from scratch.
All tools and materials are provided, including printmaking ink and Fabriano paper. You’ll take your plate and two prints home in a protective folder with acid-free sleeves.
The process is direct, tactile and slightly unpredictable. You don’t really know exactly what you’ve made until the print comes through the other side.
This session can host up to 10 participants. A limited number of places are available through Eventbrite. If Eventbrite is sold out and you’d still like to join, feel free to email me to check availability.
