The policy forum will bring together experts and decision-makers to address these critical topics and propose actionable solutions.

The panel will examine educational outcomes, teacher shortages, regional disparities, school network issues, STEM and vocational education, and the connections among education, demography, and competitiveness.

15:20–16:30 Panel II | Educational Pluralism in Europe: Freedom, Responsibility and Common Standards.
The second panel will broaden the perspective to address education as a European democratic challenge. The discussion will explore parental rights, school autonomy, private and faith-based schools, civic education, and how diverse educational models can coexist within a common framework. During the panel, insights from the Martens Centre publication “Educational Pluralism in Europe: Where We Are and the Way Forward” will also be presented.
