ARTIST BIOS
Ghazal (she/her) is a Queer Iranian poet and activist for the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement. Her work is inspired by absurdist writers, theatre, and psychological phenomena. You can find her posting and lurking on Instagram: @cherry_vvine.
Jonathan Freeman is a writer of fiction and poetry. Under the pen-name J. Marshall Freeman, he is the author of two queer-hero young adult novels, “The Dubious Gift of Dragon Blood” and “Barnabas Bopwright Saves the City.” He also co-authored the YA collection, “Three Left Turns to Nowhere” with Jeffrey Ricker and ’Nathan Burgoyne. Freeman is a two-time winner of the Saints+Sinners Fiction Contest. As a poet, he has featured at Art Bar and Shab-e She’r and is joyously grateful to be part of Toronto’s poetry open mic community. Jonathan is currently writing a middle-grade science fiction novel about evil trillionaires and brave dogs. He lives in Toronto with his husband and brave dog.
