Laura Martin's poems are blessings, grounded in the everydayness of the items and moments she highlights in her poetry--holding a hand, sharing a drink, watching the dappled sunlight on leaves. Her approach can benefit clergy in our preaching (What elements are at hand that demonstrate God's hands in this moment for this congregation?) and in our own spiritual lives (What am I overlooking in my own life/gifts/relationships that God is longing to use?).Clergy within the Mission Rivers, Three Notch'd, and Northern Virginia Districts are invited to join us for this interactive workshop. Poetry lovers and those who don't "get" poetry are all welcome. Even those who are a little afraid of poetry are encouraged to take part!
