This is a workshop for actors, comedians and presenters that want to interact with the audience, be in the moment and run with whatever is thrown at them. For the last 10 years, James has been improvising with audiences around the world - as a solo performer and MC. In this practical workshop, he’ll share the skills and techniques that he’s used to encourage adults to play on stage whilst making them feel like champions.
You’ll explore:
- How to connect with an audience.
- Creating epic stories from small sources.
- Failure and falling in love with it.
- Finding games and encouraging crowds to play them.
- The art of the ‘ask for’.
Along the way you’ll collect solo improv exercises that you can practice at home and use on stage.
Come ready to play and laugh - with water and comfortable clothes.
