The City of Philadelphia Department of Commerce is thrilled to host the Philadelphia Regional Tech Startup World Cup Pitch Competition on September 18, 2026. Join us! Don’t miss out on this great opportunity positioning and celebrating Philadelphia on the global stage.
This Philadelphia competition, hosted by the Department of Commerce, is one of more than 100 regional pitch competitions happening across the world.
The Philadelphia first prize winner will compete in the Startup World Cup, the largest tech competition in the world. During the Regional Pitch Competition and Celebration:
- 10 tech startups will pitch their businesses to a panel of judges.
- Tech companies can network with other technologists, founders, and tech partners.
- Technologists can gain insights from industry leaders.
WHEN: September 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
WHERE: Temple University, Science Education and Research Center
We are grateful for the continued partnership with Temple University, an international powerhouse in higher education and one of Philadelphia's top research institutions. Temple University's Office of the Vice President for Research, the Fox School’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute (IEI), and the Office of Institutional Advancement are serving as the University's hosts for the Competition.
We are excited to host this event in Philadelphia which provides startups in the tri-state area a venue to compete on a global stage with ample opportunities for networking, corporate partnerships, insights from industry experts – making it a comprehensive platform for startups to accelerate their growth and impact.
