Create a focal component that brings a truly handmade touch to your jewelry. In our Pewter Casting class, you’ll learn how to use pewter to create three-dimensional metal impressions. You’ll apply what you learn to create a handmade pewter cabochon that can become part of a jewelry design.
Instead of choosing a ready-made focal piece, you’ll have the opportunity to create one yourself. The dimensional impression gives the finished cabochon its own character and makes it a distinctive element for your jewelry.
This class welcomes all skill levels interested in exploring casting and creating handmade focal pieces.
Your instructor, Kim St. Jean, is Tucson Jewelry School’s resident artist and has more than 25 years of jewelry-making teaching experience.
The class takes place in person at Tucson Jewelry School.
