Fathers, grandfathers & their children of all ages share stories, wisdom & healing across generations. Bring your kids!
About this Event

Every father carries something forward: lessons from the men who raised him, the ones he had to learn on his own, and the hopes he holds for the children who come after him. And every child carries their own story about their father.

Affirmations for Black Men and Black Men Heal invite you to an intergenerational conversation on Black fatherhood, with new fathers, seasoned fathers, grandfathers, and the children who love them all in the same room.

Featured conversations

Finding our way back. Zakia Williams, co-founder of Black Men Heal, joins her father to share how they reconnected later in life, and what healing between a father and child can look like at any age.

My father, my story. Host Nicole Glass, founder of Affirmations for Black Men, opens up about her own father and how that relationship has shaped her life and her work.

Father to father. New dads and seasoned fathers trade honest wisdom on breaking cycles, caring for their own mental health, and showing up for their families.

From our children. Sons and daughters of all ages take the mic to speak directly to the fathers in the room: what they need, what they’re grateful for, and what they want their dads to know.

Bring your kids

This conversation is for the whole family. Fathers, please bring your children, whether they’re toddlers, teens, or grown with kids of their own. Grandfathers, uncles, father figures, mothers, and partners are welcome too.

This is a live podcast recording. The conversation will be filmed and shared across our platforms so its impact can reach beyond the room.
