Transform an invasive plant into handmade paper! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll use freshly harvested reed canary grass to make paper pulp from scratch. Learn about the ecology of introduced grasses and how to identify them while exploring the process of cutting, blending, and boiling plant materials to create your own pulp. You’ll then dive into basic papermaking techniques and create your own sheets of botanical paper. There will also be an option to make mini seed paper sheets using yarrow seeds.
