Pacific Healthcare Provider Meetup (Free & Hybrid Session): Pre-symposium Session at the 4th Canadian Symposium on Long COVID (2026)
The Pacific Healthcare Provider Meetup will bring together healthcare providers from across British Columbia to address Long COVID care through shared learning and facilitated conversation. Hosted in a hybrid format, with the in-person gathering at the Life Sciences Centre at the University of British Columbia, the session will feature a panel of experts who will provide brief presentations on current Long COVID research, clinical insights, and emerging evidence, followed by discussion shaped by questions from attendees. The session will bring forward practice and system-level topics relevant to the British Columbia context, such as care pathways, gaps in research and practice, diagnostics, therapeutics, and access to credible resources, while creating an opportunity for providers to share learnings, experiences, and perspectives related to Long COVID care across the province.

The overall learning objectives of the 4th Canadian Symposium on Long COVID are:
- Develop an understanding of the diagnostic criteria and overlapping, multisystem presentations of Long COVID and related conditions in children and youth, with a focus on validating patients’ experiences, providing an appropriate diagnosis, and making relevant referrals within British Columbia.
- Review current approaches to the assessment and support of patients with Long COVID and complex chronic disease, informed by experience from BC’s provincial specialty clinics.
- Recognize the lived experience and clinical impact of Long COVID through the perspective of a general practice physician living with the condition.
- Apply a practical, patient-centred framework to the ongoing care of patients with Long COVID in primary care.

Parking: Parking for LSC 1003 is available at the UBC Health Sciences Parkade, located at 2250 Health Sciences Mall, just a few minutes’ walk from the Life Sciences Centre.
Parking is approximately $2.25 per 30 minutes, with a daytime maximum of $22. Evening and weekend parking is capped at approximately $11. Payment can be made at the pay station or through HonkMobile (Zone 5669).
Masking for Attendees
In line with our commitment to the health and safety of all participants, we highly recommend that all attendees wear masks during the Symposium. Masks will be provided at registration for those who need them. While masking is not currently mandated by provincial law for public events in Newfoundland & Labrador, this policy is part of our event safety measures. We also ask that anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or other respiratory illness consider staying home if unwell. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment for all.
