About this Event
Mid Autumn Festival is a cherished Chinese tradition to celebrate family reunions under the full moon.
In this workshop, you will construct a simple lantern frame and build your own unique Flower Lantern. As you craft your lantern, you will explore the rich story behind the festival, test your wits with lantern riddles, and enjoy sampling traditional mooncakes.
This workshop is led by Ariel Chan, integrating storytelling and multimedia art to create immersive experiences. She believes the creative process matters far more than the final craft, drawing from stories and diverse cultural backgrounds to focus entirely on the journey itself.

Tickets: Booking essential, tickets are available at a subsidised rate of £2 to cover materials
Access info: The Turnpike Gallery is on the 1st floor of Leigh Library. There is ramped access to the building and a lift to take you to the 1st floor. Toilets including an accessible toilet are available on the 1st floor.
