About this Event
For the misfits, overthinkers, weirdos, and anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t quite fit the mould.
Abhi’s comedy is personal, energetic, cheeky and a little dark — pulling from the many parts of his life that don’t always seem to belong together.
Growing up between different countries. Living with ADHD. Being a former competitive tennis player. Dealing with parents who have their own ideas about how your life should turn out. Marriage, relationships, getting older, trying to figure yourself out — and all the weirdness in between.
Out of Place isn’t an immigrant comedy show, a tennis show, or an ADHD show.
It’s a comedy show about feeling like you don’t quite fit anywhere — and finding the funny in it.
Abhi has performed at Just For Laughs Toronto, opened for comedians including Josh Johnson and Michael Kosta (The Daily Show), and performed across Canada, the US and Europe. His comedy has also been featured by the Toronto Guardian.
Abhi’s comedy is cheeky, playful, versatile and occasionally dirty, with a little darkness thrown in for good measure. He likes creating a relaxed “group chat” vibe with the audience — the kind of room where you can laugh at the wrong things, be a little silly, and not take yourself too seriously.
Whether you’ve always felt like the odd one out, you’re new to stand-up, or you just want a good night of live English comedy in Amsterdam, there’s probably something in this show for you.
