Our Voices Matter CIC – Empowering Black Women, Children & Families
An Evening of Empowerment, Healing, Awareness & Community Connection
Friday, 27 November 2026 Edinburgh, Scotland
Join Our Voices Matter CIC for a special evening dedicated to empowering Black women, supporting children and families, raising awareness and bringing communities together to inspire positive change.
This event will bring together community leaders, charities, professionals, policymakers, funders, advocates, service providers and members of the public who share a commitment to building safer, stronger and more inclusive communities.
Through inspiring speakers, meaningful conversations, information stalls, networking and community engagement, we aim to amplify voices, break down barriers and strengthen the connections between communities and the organisations that support them.
About Our Voices Matter CIC
Our Voices Matter CIC is a Scottish community interest company committed to empowering Black women, children and families to heal, rise and thrive.
Our work focuses on supporting those affected by domestic abuse, trauma, mental health challenges, racism, discrimination, social isolation and other barriers to wellbeing.
We also promote confidence building, education, employability, social inclusion, community activities and opportunities for children and young people.
Through advocacy, practical assistance, signposting, referrals and partnerships, we aim to ensure that individuals and families feel heard, valued, supported and empowered.

Why This Event Matters
Too often, individuals and families experiencing difficult circumstances struggle to find the right support, feel isolated or believe their voices are not being heard.
Our Voices Matter CIC believes that meaningful change begins when communities, organisations and individuals come together.
