Intro evening to the wild mammals of London, with CEO of the Mammal Society, and a local mammal recorder! 🦔🕰️ When: 25th September 2026, 6pm

Meet your neighbours with a shared love for mammals at our community mammal group’s opening night, in the garden of St Mark’s Church, Regent’s Park!
Our official opening night kicks off at 6pm with a quick introduction from the chair, Mabel, and co-chair, Max, to ourselves and why we started the new North and Central London Mammals Group.
Then, we are very lucky that the CEO of the Mammal Society, Matt Larsen-Daw, is available to give us a special introduction to London’s mammals. 🐿️
There will be cake, stickers, badges, chats, local community, the beautiful garden of St Mark’s Church, and at the end of the event local mammal recorder Clive Herbert is leading us through a sunset bat walk. 🦇
Before the event, we also have some very exciting one-off training in mammal surveying being lead by Matt Larsen-Daw in the afternoon. You can drop in to the free training any time between 2pm-5pm, if you just can’t wait for the opening night! 🤫
