About this Event
Open Source Data Analysis: A One-Day Practitioner OverviewThis session introduces the Open Source Data Analysis (OSDA) framework through a methodology overview and direct, hands-on application. Participants will gain a working understanding of how publicly available information — collected, processed, and analyzed with discipline — produces actionable insight across supply chain disruption and community safety environments.Following a concise introduction to the OSDA cycle, source categories, and analytical standards, participants work through three applied exercises designed to build observational discipline, source triangulation, and structured analytical thinking.
Hands-On Exercises: Location Identification, Personal Data Exposure, Subject Research. Bonus: Address Research.
By the end of the day, participants will understand what OSDA is, how it works in practice, and why structured methodology separates professional data analysis from an internet search.
