About this Event
Ageism in PR is starting younger. Experience is being mistaken for expense. And increasingly, algorithms could be deciding who gets seen at all.
Previous Women in PR research found that the age at which women reported experiencing ageism had fallen from 45 to 40 in just two years. Our latest industry conversations suggest the pressure is creeping younger still.
It's in the coded language of job ads. In assumptions about who's dynamic, who has gravitas and who's the right cultural fit. In recruitment decisions where years of experience can suddenly count against you.
We're calling time on it.
Join Women in PR UK for the launch of No Right Age, headlined by Stacey Duguid, with a special guest address from Jamie Klingler and a panel of industry leaders, recruiters and campaigners.
Expect frank conversations, uncomfortable truths and practical solutions.
On the night, we'll unveil:
- New industry insights: findings from three listening labs in partnership with Break The Silence exploring how ageism shows up and who gets left behind.
- The No Right Age playbook: practical steps to tackle bias in recruitment, progression and retention.
- A challenge to employers: from removing coded language in job ads to keeping humans in the loop on AI-assisted hiring.
This isn't another conversation about whether ageism exists. It's about what we're prepared to do about it.
Join us. Be part of the change.
Places are limited to 100. Food, drinks and networking included.
In partnership with Break The Silence and Ellwood Atfield. Hosted by Hope and Glory.
