Winner of five awards at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, including Best Director and Best Supporting Actress, this darkly funny and tender debut follows four siblings discovering that growing up can change everything — including the people you thought would always be there for you.On the verge of adulthood, Franek, Nastka, Jana and Benek are each trying to find their own way as the close bond that once held them together begins to change. Franek is pulling away from his family, Nastka is searching for love, while Jana tries to keep everyone connected.
Blending family drama, dry humour and a touch of the supernatural, the film explores growing up, changing relationships and the strange ways childhood bonds continue to shape us as adults.
Buchwald's feature debut was one of the discoveries of the Polish film scene, earning strong critical attention and a string of awards, including five awards at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, the Polityka Passport in the Film category and the Annual Award of the Minister of Culture for 2025.
