🎬🌈 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture — Watch PartyWhat if a word could change the way generations understood faith, love and belonging?
Join us at St Hilda’s for a compelling documentary that follows researchers into biblical translation and archival discoveries, exploring the film’s central claim: that a mistranslation helped shape Christian attitudes towards LGBTQIA+ people.
At its heart are deeply human questions. Who belongs? Whose stories have we heard? And what happens when we dare to revisit what we’ve been taught?
Whether you love the Church, have been hurt by it, or are simply curious, there’s a place for you here. You don’t need a theology degree—or a church background—to come along. Everyone is welcome.
