About the Walk Leader
Renee Vyas is a practising naturalist with a keen interest in plants, insects, birds, and fungi. She works extensively on creating awareness about trees and other flora among students, professionals, homemakers, senior citizens, and nature enthusiasts.
Her expertise includes selecting and planting native trees, shrubs, and herbs suited to the microclimate of a particular area. Her Tree Appreciation Walks have become popular among Mumbai’s nature enthusiasts.

Maharashtra Nature Park is located in Dharavi, Mumbai. Participants are requested to plan their journey and arrive before the scheduled start time.

Itinerary
9:15 AM – Arrival & Introduction
Participants meet at the venue, complete any necessary entry formalities, and gather for a brief introduction to the walk, the park, and the morning’s theme.
9:20 AM – Guided Tree Walk Begins
Begin the guided walk through Maharashtra Nature Park. Observe different tree species, learn about their identifying features, and understand their importance in supporting birds, insects, and other urban wildlife.
10:45 AM – Walk Conclusion & Discussion
Conclude the walk with a short discussion and reflection on the trees and biodiversity observed during the morning. Participants can share observations, ask questions, and discuss interesting discoveries from the walk.
