About this Event
National Hypertension Summit
The 2026 National Hypertension Summit will bring together general practitioners, clinical leaders, researchers, policymakers and community partners to explore current priorities and emerging approaches in hypertension prevention, detection, treatment and management. The program will showcase the latest evidence, practical strategies for implementation, and opportunities to strengthen collaboration across the health system to improve cardiovascular health outcomes.
Held alongside the RACGP GP26 pre-conference workshops, the Summit aims to engage more GPs, recognising their critical role in achieving the National Hypertension Taskforce goal of improving blood pressure control in Australia to 70% by 2030. Participants can expect a focused and engaging forum that supports shared learning, highlights progress toward national priorities, and identifies actions that can drive better blood pressure management across Australia.
