About this Event
Join us for an embodied Shabbat ceremony of ritual, song, chant, meditation and learning.
As the sun sets, we'll gather for candlelighting, weaving ancient songs with meditation, surrendering to a sacred soundbath, and opening to each other and to the magic of Shabbat. We'll close with a delicious vegetarian Shabbat meal. Come cross the theshold with us!
We'll begin at 6:15pm promptly. Facilitated by Rav Jericho, with music by Shira Averbuch, Bobby Hawk, and Akiva the Believer, and post-ceremony hang with Community Weaver Chloe Jacobs.
Designed for adults but open and welcoming to people of all ages. No prior experience with Shabbat necessary. Jewish, Jew-ish, and non-Jewish folks are welcome. You're invited to wear white. To aid in the Great Turning please bring your own water bottle.
This event will be filmed for a documentary. All participants will be asked to sign a media release. Footage and photographs may be used by Temple of the Stranger and its partners for the film, marketing, and related purposes.
