Mystery Hobby Club
You open an envelope. You have 25 minutes to become someone who does this.
Maybe you've always wanted to learn origami.
Maybe you think chess looks cool but have absolutely no idea what you're doing.
Maybe you've never tried knitting, drawing, model building, or lettering because you keep telling yourself:
“I'll learn it someday.”
Today is someday.
Mystery Hobby Club is a 2.5-hour creative social experience where you try several completely different hobbies — without needing to be good at any of them.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick an envelope.
At the beginning, everyone receives a mystery envelope.
Open it together.
Inside: your first hobby.
2. Find your station.
Each station has simple visual instruction cards designed so you can start immediately.
No lecture. No long introduction. No pressure to get it right.
3. You have 25 minutes.
Make something.
Try something.
Mess something up.
Ask the person next to you what they're doing.
Then the timer rings.
4. Rotate.
You'll move to a new station and discover another hobby.
Across the afternoon, you'll try three different hobbies.

✦ Hand lettering
The exact stations may change from event to event.
That's part of the mystery.
THE ENVELOPE OPENING
Everyone opens their first envelope at the same time.
There will be approximately 30 people in one room simultaneously discovering:
“Wait... I'M DOING CHESS?”
That's the moment.
THE HOBBY BOARD
At the end of the event, you'll answer one question:
“Which hobby would you actually try again?”
Write your name under it on the Hobby Board.
By the end of the afternoon, you'll have a room full of unexpected little communities:
Chess people.
Origami people.
Knitting people.
Drawing people.
Maybe you'll discover your new thing.
Maybe you'll discover that your new thing is definitely NOT knitting.
Both outcomes count.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You don't need to be artistic.
You don't need to be crafty.
You don't need to know anything about the hobbies beforehand.
This is a place to be a beginner.
Come curious. Leave with something new to try.
