Since 2018 Carolina G. Iwanow has been creating, curating, and guiding exclusive collective jewelry exhibitions at NYC Jewelry Lab Studio for NYC Jewelry Week, showcasing the one of a kind work of some her most advanced students and her own creations.
This year exhibition - Mycelium Botanicae - Is inspired by the powerful healing magical universe of medicinal plants and fungi and their ecosystem. Each artist will make from one to three brooches exploring and combining jewelry techniques, from precious metals, precious gemstones and miscellaneous materials.

Carolina Iwanow is an artist, master metalsmith, educator and founder of NYC Jewelry Lab. Born in Buenos Aires, with more than thirty-five years creating, teaching & preserving this ancient craft. She has collaborated with many international brands and her work have been exhibited across the globe. Since 1998, she has mentored emerging makers. Through her exhibitions, she celebrates jewelry and inspires the next generation. Invited by The Met Cloisters, Carolina brings historical craft to life.

Each November, NYC Jewelry Week presents The Week, a seven-day celebration of jewelry and the people, ideas, and craftsmanship behind it. NYCJW26 brings together a global audience for a dynamic mix of in-person and virtual experiences across New York City and beyond.

Virtual programs will be streamed on YouTube, while in-person events offer opportunities to engage directly with artists, designers, curators, collectors, and other members of the jewelry community.
With many programs free and open to the public, NYC Jewelry Week invites everyone—from longtime jewelry enthusiasts to those just beginning to explore the field—to discover the artistry, ideas, histories, and craftsmanship that make jewelry so compelling.
