About this Event
Join us in celebrating the completion of Anonymous Brooklyn | Double Life.
On view for ONE NIGHT ONLY! This event is free and open to the public — Join the fun or be the only one.
Anonymous Brooklyn is for everyone. No names, just jewelry. Artists are invited to don a mask and anonymously add one piece of work to the gallery wall at Brooklyn Metal Works over the course of NYC Jewelry Week (from Monday to Saturday), contributing to an ever-evolving installation and performance. A self-directed accumulation, visitors can view the installation as it grows or see the full display for one night only during the opening reception.
Here’s how it works: From Monday, November 16 to Saturday, November 21, artists are invited to bring one piece of jewelry for display In the Gallery at Brooklyn Metal Works.
Brooklyn Metal Works (BKMW) is a non-ferrous metal art studio that offers professional workspace for the development of art, objects, and jewelry.
In addition, we offer concept and technique based classes and workshops for all levels of learning. Our studio prioritizes creating a safe and sustainable working and learning environment, complete with a wide inventory of tools and equipment. Responsible studio practices and stewardship of resources are at the core of our vision. Our exhibition space and artist lecture series promotes artists, designers and makers from the metalsmithing field and beyond.
Our collaborative setting is designed to foster exploration, encourage experimentation, and strengthen the knowledge base of all involved. Brooklyn Metal Works promotes and furthers critical dialogue among those who practice, write, and invest time and energy into the field of jewelry and metalsmithing.
