“My Grandmama’s Living Room” the open mic jam session is in honor of my late grandmother Geneva Brown. She was a piano player and choir director.
This one is sincere and near and dear to my heart because it’s truly where my comfort, confidence, and first rehearsals ever took place before the world ever took notice.
My performances as a kid with an audience of stuffed animals never quite met her mudical approval but little did she know that living room would soon birth a fearless ⭐️ where everyone in the audience is my friend.
My other grandma on the other hand too had a living room where all the family and friends gathered around the piano after Sunday dinner to keep the songs in our spirits going after church. If it was your turn you carried the song. The center carpet was your spotlight and you had surely betta been able to do your lil dance and show-n-tell.
All genres, instrumentalists, & talents are welcomed
