MUDCAT & THE REDEEMERS CELEBRATE DIRT RICH WITH ALBUM RELEASE SHOW AT BLIND WILLIE’SMudcat & the Redeemers will celebrate the release of the new album, Dirt Rich, with a special album release party at Blind Willie’s on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, with doors opening at 7 p.m.
Produced by David “Snave” Evans and recorded at Hoopoe Acres, Dirt Rich brings together nine songs that reflect the roots, people, places, and experiences that have shaped Mudcat’s music. The record moves between original material and songs drawn from the blues and folk traditions, including “Shake ’Em On Down,” Memphis Slim’s “Mother Earth,” and the traditional “Keep Your Lamp.”
The album’s title grew out of something appropriately down-to-earth. After Mudcat posted a photo of a newly delivered pile of soil and compost—with his dog standing proudly on top—Snave suggested the phrase “Dirt Rich.” The name stuck, eventually taking on a meaning larger than the photograph that inspired it: a kind of wealth measured not in money, but in music, friendship, home, history, and the things that endure.
The album features Mudcat on vocals, guitar, and piano; Snave on bass, harmonies, keys, guitar, and flute; Joe Capo on guitar; Bob Rice on drums; and Darling Marybeth on vocals, with guest appearances by Ziggy on saxophone and JR Willis on banjo and piano. The album was mastered by JJ Boogie.
The October 28 celebration brings Dirt Rich to the stage at Blind Willie’s, celebrating the music and the people who helped bring the record to life.
