Honoring the Dream. Continuing the Legacy. An Evening of Music, Unity, and Remembrance at Mt Calvary SDA Church, 4902 N 40th St, Tampa, FL Join hundreds of neighbors for a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Since 1989, Tampa Bay has gathered each year for this service, presented with support from Hillsborough County Government and the Tampa Urban League. It is now a program of Community Tampa Bay. The Music The evening is led by the Interfaith Choir, directed by Rev. Isaac Ruffin. Singers come from AME, Baptist, Methodist, Jewish, Baha’i, Seventh Day Adventist, Episcopal, and non-denominational congregations across Tampa Bay. The Voices Student leaders from the Jewish, Islamic, and Christian traditions take part in the program. Community leaders, rabbis, and ministers share messages of hope and unity inspired by Dr. King’s vision of justice, peace, and brotherhood. Food and Fellowship The program closes with food and fellowship, a favorite part of the evening for meeting neighbors and strengthening the community we share. A Tampa Bay Tradition More than 350 people attended in 2026. The service brings people of all backgrounds together to sing, share, and build understanding. Many faiths. One community. A brighter tomorrow. All are welcome.
