About this Event
The Mixed Heritage Art Therapy Group is a creative and therapeutic space for individuals who are of mixed heritage to explore their identity.
We are using the definition of mixed heritage as the fact of having two or more different racial, ethnic, religious or cultural backgrounds.
(Cambridge Dictionary, 2026)
The session will be run by two HCPC registered Art Psychotherapists who are of mixed heritage.
The session will run more traditionally in the frame of an art therapy/psychotherapy group, group members would be expected to arrive on time to the group, where there will be space to have a check in and think about housekeeping.
We then will hold space for art making and time to reflect on how this was as a process at the end of the group.
There will be a survey sent to participants before and after the session, physical copies will also be available on the day.
