ATT&CK, Red Teams, and Risk: Connecting Threat‑Led Testing to Quantified Cyber
Host: James Hanbury
Info: Threat‑led testing and red teaming frequently use MITRE ATT&CK to plan and assess adversary behaviour, while cyber risk quantification often operates separately using a threat scenario led approach and statistical modelling techniques. This session brings the two together.
We demonstrate how ATT&CK‑based red‑team thinking can be translated into attack path models suitable for risk quantification, using ATT&CK Navigator to structure both attacker techniques and defensive mitigations. By aligning attack paths, testing insights, and risk models, organisations can better understand not just what can be exploited, but how often, under what conditions, and with what potential impact. The session draws on real examples from threat‑led testing and quantified risk assessments.
